Project partners introduced ACTNOW to their audience in Bergen, Norway in April 2023

The event was held in Bergen, Norway, from 17th to 21st April 2023. ECCWO5 featured a wide range of topics across natural and social sciences relevant to the Seventh Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (AR7), the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development, post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework, UN Sustainable Development Goals, and COP27 climate negotiations.

During the event, Dr. Ana M Queiros and Professor Steve Widdicombe from Plymouth Marine Laboratory hosted sessions on marine spatial management supporting climate change adaptation and mitigation, nature-based solutions for climate adaptation and mitigation, and ocean acidification research for sustainability. During the event there were conversations about the new project ACTNOW.
